The morning before we left Parapat, several BBJ members went swimming in the lake. 

The journey to Parapat from Medan took at least three hours. We hired two buses for the trip there and back. It was a good chance for members of both bands to get to know each other.

BBJ and ACH members took time off to tour Lake Toba in a rented boat. We also visited Samosir Island in the centre of the Lake. 

Lake Toba is huge. And the scenery can be stunning. Here are a few pictures taken from various vantage points.

The concert in Parapat, which took place in a sort of natural amphitheatre across the road from the hotel where the ACH band was staying, began well enough. A crowd began to gather to enjoy the music. Unfortunately, heavy rain later in the evening forced many people to leave. But the two bands were sheltered from the rain, and we continued to play!
