At various times during its tours, BBJ has had the privilege of meeting the Salvation Army's international leaders. Below is a picture of General Eva Burrows speaking to me in Bandung in 1989. It was at this time that BBJ was given its official name - the Brass Band Jenderal (the General's Band).





Years later, in 1994, another generation of BBJ band members met General Paul Radar in Jakarta. Here is a picture of him conducting the band.




The band also met General John Gowens in 2001. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a picture of this. In the early days of the band, we did not think very much about keeping pictures in order to write a history. But I will post more information here as I collect it.
